Select A Special Monogrammed Christmas Gift
Christmas time may be about family, parties, religion and friends, but it also happens to be about gift-giving, at least according to the department stores and commercials in the months around the holidays! So what are you going to get those people on your list whose names always seem to linger around through your last remaining shopping days? The key to buying for some people is to think of a general, well-received gift for all. The perfect solution for them might be a
monogrammed Christmas gift!
What Can Be Monogrammed?
Just about any item can be monogrammed these days. There are the old stand-bys like the key-chain and the flask. Those are always appreciated gifts and are likely to be used in some capacity by the recipient. Another idea for a
monogrammed Christmas gift is an item pertaining to the Christmas holiday itself. For instance, what about a monogrammed holiday mug or a Christmas ornament with the recipient's name? There are many things that could become a
monogrammed Christmas gift if you just use your head and imagination.
Who Might Enjoy A Monogrammed Christmas Gift?
A
monogrammed Christmas gift can be as personal or non-personal as you see fit. If you are buying a present for a loved one such as a spouse, a lovely bracelet or watch could make a wonderful monogrammed Christmas gift. However, if you are shopping for your son's teacher or a neighbor down the street, perhaps a key-chain is more likely the way to go. You wouldn't want anyone to feel as though you are stepping over boundaries of intimacy! Many
monogrammed Christmas gifts can fit into the category of those gifts for people with whom you do not share a more intimate bond, but luckily there are also many monogrammed Christmas gifts with which you may express that intimate bond toward people closer to you in your life.
Whatever
monogrammed Christmas gift you end up purchasing for the recipient, remember to keep them in mind. An individual who you know prefers bike-riding to car travel and doesn't even own an automobile might have less of a need for a key-chain. A balding man definitely has no need for a monogrammed brush and might even be insulted at such a gift! If you keep the person in mind, you are sure to find the perfect
monogrammed Christmas gift for them.

Impress with the Embroidered Christmas Gift
It's that time of the year again. You have no ideas for original gifts again. The people you love most are insisting that you shouldn't go out of your way - again. Hey, that's why you love them so much, right? So how do you give them the same old bathrobe and still show them that they're special? Well, what if the same old bathrobe had their name embroidered on it? An
embroidered Christmas gift really is special.
Names, Monograms And Dates
If you search for your gifts on the Internet, and you should, you'll see that there are many companies who will enhance the simple gifts your loved ones love with the personalized touch of a name. So your Mom's robe can say "Mom" and your Dad's robe can say "Pops" and your special sweetie's robe can say "Sweetie" or whatever you want them to say. The simplest gift can become a very special
embroidered Christmas gift with the addition of a monogram. A throw or a set of towels can become an outrageously classy present once initials appear in the style and color of your choice. Your good taste will be on display in your recipient's home throughout the year and you will be remembered every day.
The first Christmas for a baby or a newly wedded couple is an extra special occasion. Proclaim that uniqueness with a "___'s First Christmas" added to a gift of a baby blanket or pair of matching holiday sweaters. The same goes for any special dates. A gift proclaiming a wish for the upcoming New Year with dates and names will be treasured. A jacket with "Class of ___" for the recent graduate will show your thoughtfulness and pride.
Team Names And Pictures
Are there people on your Christmas gift list that are really, really involved with a club, Little League team or a PTA? Let them know that you support their interests with a baseball cap
embroidered with the name of their group along with their own name. One cute idea is to have family team shirts made for the new parents and child. An
embroidered Christmas gift doesn't have to be a serious gift.
Cutting-edge computer technology has made embroidered pictures not just possible but affordable. A holiday apron for the family cook with an embroidered picture of Mrs. Santa Claus and her name is a funny and appreciated token of affection that will be saved and used every year. The possibilities are just about endless. An
embroidered Christmas gift can have funny or serious pictures reflecting your recipients' hobbies, passions, jobs and inside jokes displayed and personalized. Whatever message you want to give, an
embroidered Christmas gift is the way to give it.

Why Not Intelligent Christmas Gifts For Kids?
Parents are spending more and more money each year on
Christmas gifts for their kids; the reasons for this are many. One reason is that parents seem to have more money now than parents did 20 or 40 years ago. This may not actually be due to parents having more money, but rather, in many cases, a result of the growing trend to buy on credit. 20 and 40 years ago, parents had mortgages on their houses, but today most adults have thousands of dollars of credit card debt in addition to having a mortgage on their house. So while in some cases, 21st century parents do actually have more money, in many cases it is simply a difference in philosophy. Buying
Christmas gifts for the kids is certainly a cause worthy of a little credit card debt.
Another reason for the increase in spending on gifts for kids at Christmas is the change in the type of popular toys; 25 years ago, toys did not walk or talk, and they certainly did not get popped into a video game machine and get played on a screen. Today, not only is the platform for video games expensive, but buying each individual game costs a small fortune as well...and, let's face it, they don't fill up the area under the tree very well! My question is this: "If we're going to spend so much money on
Christmas gifts for the kids, shouldn't they have an additional benefit than just being entertaining?" How about toys that promote learning?
Thought-Provoking Toys
So maybe your child wouldn't be very impressed with a cd-rom with math games on it as a Christmas gift. Just because it's a cd doesn't mean that kids will like it - some kids will enjoy Christmas gifts for learning such as the math cd, but many others will just find it dorky.
How about books? Many kids don't like books, but if you know what they're interested in, and I mean, what they are REALLY interested in, you can encourage them to read by giving them books on that topic. Another idea, for the video-games-only generation is to buy the kids comics or strategy books. If you have a young child who hasn't learned to read yet because he's always in front of the video game screen, this is a terrific option.
Puzzles are another good idea. A 3-D map of the world puzzle is a great learning device, but doesn't seem like one. Try also science experiment kits or how-to science experiment books. The key is to encourage inquisitiveness and mental action. We all know that this generation's thumbs are well trained - this Christmas let's look a little deeper when picking out
Christmas gifts for the kids. Your kids will benefit and you will feel better about dropping hundreds and hundreds of dollars - consider it an investment in your child's future.
